Job description
What we need you to tackle
You are likely a strong fit if you have 3 to 6 years in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting advisory, investment banking, or a startup finance team, and you can move comfortably between modeling, reporting, and controllership. You should be fluent in driver-based three-statement modeling, GAAP fundamentals, and advanced spreadsheet work, with the judgment to explain numbers clearly to founders and executives. This role will suit someone who is organized, responsive, and energized by owning multiple client engagements at once while improving the systems and playbooks behind the work.
Non-negotiable hard skills
- Financial Analysis
- Financial Modeling
- FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis)
- Financial Statement Preparation
- Budgeting & Financial Forecasting
Your day-to-day
Build and maintain client financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses as the source of truth.
Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, and monthly variance analysis with clear commentary.
Produce KPI dashboards and board materials that translate operating data into actionable insight.
Run or review month-end close, GAAP financial statements, and core controllership workflows.
Support fundraising work with models, investor materials, and diligence support.
Improve client finance processes by standardizing workflows, reducing manual steps, and tracking close and error metrics.
Nice to haves
- Build investor-ready models and materials, prepare data rooms, and support diligence. Enables clients to raise capital with credible narratives and numbers for Series A/B processes.
- Plan and sequence work across several clients and deadlines, focusing on highest-impact deliverables (close, board materials, cash decisions). Keeps engagements on track without sacrificing quality.
- Identify root causes of variances, reconciliation breaks, and data quality issues; implement fixes and prevent recurrence through process or control changes. Ensures reliability of the ‘single source of truth.’
